A turned copper candlestick from the late 19th or early 20th century – tranquil in its form, warm in its color.

The deep reddish-brown reveals the material: real copper, also recognizable by the areas where verdigris has accumulated over time. The classic baluster turn shape was widespread in Central Europe – in bourgeois homes, inns, and rural parsonages.

Details:

  • Material: Copper
  • Shape: Baluster turn, turned
  • Era: Approx. late 19th to early 20th century
  • Height: 23 cm
  • Base diameter: 10 cm
  • Candle diameter: approx. 2 cm (standard taper candle)
  • Origin: Flea market Eisenstadt, Burgenland

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate patina. There is a small dent on the edge of the base – an honest sign of its long life, which is reflected in the price.

With a little copper polish, its original shine can be restored – or it can remain just as it is: a silent witness on the dining table.

Shipping: Shipping from Austria, carefully packaged via Austrian Post.

Eisenstadt. Where Haydn once played for princes and light streamed through high windows.

This candlestick bears the color of history – the deep reddish-brown of copper that has breathed for decades. A small dent on the edge of the base: not a flaw, but proof. It was used. Worn. Loved.
