Antique Handmade Pewter Crucifix, Wall Cross – Austria c. 1920, Gift

An antique, handmade pewter cross with a finely crafted figure of Christ, made around 1920. Over 100 years old – a quiet, dignified wall cross for the living room, bedroom or hallway.

Craftsmanship

The figure of Christ is carefully modeled; the feet are free-standing and not attached to the cross. An eyelet at the top allows for hanging. Scratch marks on the surface come from the hand work.

• Color note: depending on the light, the color in the photos may look distorted. The cross is gray – as shown in the photo with the ruler.
