Art Deco Brass Nut Dish – Vintage Jewelry Tray with Swan Hallmark, Austria

Some objects imitate nature – this one celebrates it. A halved walnut, recreated in brass: vaulted chambers, a delicate central rib, and the irregular contour of the cracked shell. This very joy in organic form is typical of Art Deco.

On the underside is a small swan hallmark – the signature of the workshop that once cast this dish. A silent hint that demanding work was done here.
