Blue and White Enameled Glass Vase with Gold Rim – Bohemian Glass, Vintage, 1920s

An extraordinary glass vase that looks like porcelain at first glance. In reality it's made of thick-walled blue glass.

Technique

The outer surface was covered with white enamel, into which ornaments were then ground. Where the surface is ground away, the blue glass shows through. Depending on the light, the vase glows blue from within. The remaining enamel surface is further decorated with lovely flower motifs, and the rim is trimmed in gold, as is a border around the floral painting.

Condition

Nearly perfect condition. Only the gold rim at the opening is slightly worn in a few spots, though never interrupted. Please consider the photos part of the condition description.
