The oval casing is covered all around with leaf ornaments: palmette friezes on the upper band, flowing acanthus tendrils below, separated by fine rope-twist borders. The lid features a polished agate stone in warm tones of cream, taupe, and brown — each stone a unique product of nature. A small thumb grip allows for easy opening; hinge intact, function impeccable.
