This special vintage clutch dates back to the Vienna ball season of the 1970s and was given as a ladies' favor at a university ball in Vienna. Such keepsakes are part of traditional ball culture and are rarely preserved today.
The bag is made of woven raffia, a natural material from the fibers of the raffia palm. The elaborate pattern in red, black, and natural tones gives the clutch an elegant and distinctive look. Small differences in the weaving structure suggest handcrafted production.
The zipper works perfectly, and the condition of the bag is almost like new. Particularly noteworthy are the original preserved ball tickets, which still show prices in Austrian shillings. This makes this piece an authentic testament to Vienna's 20th-century ball tradition.
A rare collector's item for lovers of vintage accessories, Viennese cultural history, or classic evening wear.
