This authentic tea strainer is far more than a kitchen utensil; it is a testament to the renowned Viennese silver manufacturer Moritz Hacker. Crafted in the interwar period (approx. 1930–1939), the object captivates with its classic design and the deep, historically developed patina of the formerly silver-plated metal.

The Moritz Hacker company, which bore the prestigious title "k. & k. Court Silver and China Silverware Factory" from 1901, stood for the highest quality and Viennese elegance. This strainer bears the original manufacturer's stamp "HACKER" on the underside, unequivocally proving its origin.

Although the silver plating has given way to a distinctive wear over the decades, the strainer remains fully functional. It is classically placed on the cup to perfectly filter loose tea leaves when pouring from the pot. An indispensable collector's item for lovers of Viennese silver, historical kitchenware, or as a decorative highlight with history for your kitchen.
