An original hand-operated wooden coffee mill with a metal grinding mechanism, made in Germany in the first half of the 20th century. The front features the typical company emblem "Leinbrock's Ideal," a well-known manufacturer of historical coffee and spice mills.
The body is made of solid wood with a drawer to collect the ground coffee. The grinding mechanism is made of metal and is operated by a hand crank with a wooden handle. The coffee grinder is completely intact and still has all its original parts. It remains functional and can be used both as a decorative piece and for grinding coffee.
The company EF Leinbrock was founded in 1864 in Bärenklau, Saxony, and became a major manufacturer of coffee and pepper mills. Large quantities were still produced in East Germany after the Second World War before production was later discontinued. Mills from this company are now highly sought after by collectors of antique kitchenware.
The condition is very good for its age. There is some minor damage to the company emblem on the front, as well as normal signs of wear on the wood and metal. However, these signs of age emphasize the mill's authentic character and contribute to its special vintage charm.
This coffee grinder is ideal as a decorative object for kitchens, cafes, restaurants or country-style interiors and is also a beautiful collector's item for lovers of old household appliances.
