The Illustrations

Titled "Solcherne und solcherne, de Ober'n und de Unter'n" (roughly "Such folks and such folks, the high and the low"), the deck features color etchings by Austrian artist Johannes Fessl. Every court card and ace is a humorous, character-rich miniature artwork about tavern culture and the colorful personalities of Austrian country life.
