About the Maker

Türkiye Şişecam was founded in 1935 in Istanbul and became famous for producing handmade soda-lime glassware. In 1974 the company also began manufacturing heat-resistant glassware. Today its range includes more than 20,000 products.

Baden bei Wien. The two glasses stood heavy and calm on a shelf, their glass so thick that light seemed to move more slowly in it. Strawberries and grapes had preserved summer on them. Some glasses are made to last – and to be drunk from in pairs.
