At Rosenau Castle, amidst the remnants of another era, lay this small box – silent, gilded, with a stone on its lid that looks like frozen clouds. A pill box from 1960s to 1980s Austria, crafted with a care rarely found today.
Material & Craftsmanship
Gilded metal body, entirely covered with embossed floral tendril décor: a delicate wavy band at the top, below it a wide field with floral medallions. The lid features a domed agate cabochon in brown-beige with characteristic cloud marbling, set in a twisted gold bezel (torsade). Cleanly finished white lining inside.

Condition
Very good. Gilding even and shiny, hinge works flawlessly, agate stone with slight, age-appropriate surface traces — no chips, no cracks.
