Vintage Boho Real Leather Belt with Decorative Buckle – Passport, Made in Germany

Sometimes it's the buckle that makes a belt an eye-catcher. This vintage boho belt from Passport combines dark brown genuine leather with a rectangular decorative buckle, on which a small mosaic of colored stones sits – framed by cord edges, rows of pearls and openwork tendrils.

The Buckle in Detail

In the oval center field rests a large, amber-brown cabochon. Around it are grouped turquoise-blue, yellow and black navette stones, dark red and black round cabochons, an opalescent shimmering square, a milky-white glitter ball and tiny clear rhinestones. The frame has an aged brass tone, the side panels are openwork so that the leather behind shines through. On the back, a hook with a ball knob engages in the perforation; the belt end is wrapped around the bar and sewn.

Wearing and Combining

With blue jeans and a simple shirt, over a flowing maxi dress or loosely with knitwear in autumn: the belt adds color and a touch of bohemian flair to subdued outfits. With a width of about 4 cm, it is designed for jeans and trousers with generous belt loops.

Condition

Very good, worn vintage condition. The leather is supple and robust. Traces of wear are visible: the edges of the holes are slightly worn, the lighter leather core is visible in places on the edges, and the back of the buckle has fine scratches and a darker patina. All colored costume jewels are firmly seated. Only one of the tiny rhinestones is missing in the lower part of the central field – the empty setting is barely larger than a pinhead and is practically unnoticeable when worn (see close-up).
