An enchanting "Cobalt & Gold" tea set from the Winterling Marktleuthen porcelain factory, three pieces – a cup, a saucer and a plate. A timeless combination of beauty and functionality.

Design

Made in the second half of the last century, the set is ornately decorated with a delicate bouquet of colored flowers framed by a wide cobalt blue stripe. The stripe is surrounded by a thin gold-plated border at the top and bottom. The large plate and cup are also decorated with a delicate gold craquelure pattern.

About the Manufacturer

The stamps on the bottom show the trademark "Winterling Marktleuthen," which stands for quality and craftsmanship from Bavaria.

Baden bei Wien. The set stood among other tableware, its cobalt blue band glowing even in the dimmed market light. Golden cracks ran across plate and cup like fine veins of a past summer. Some patterns only come alive up close.
