Venetian Amethyst Glass Vase with Silver Overlay and Venice View – Vintage Italy 1950s–1970s

An enchanting little Venetian art glass vase of deep, mysterious amethyst glass, hand-blown in Italy. In the light, the glass reveals warm, moody violet hues.

Silver Overlay

The fine silver overlay shows a delicate cartouche on the front with a romantic view of Venice – architectural silhouettes over water. The back and sides are encircled by lace-like baroque scrollwork, finished with shiny silver rims at top and base.

Care

Wipe the silver dry with a soft cloth.

At the flea market in Heidenreichstein the violet glowed among lead crystal – a little piece of the lagoon in the Waldviertel.
